The strength of Alloy Steel Grade B7 comes from a specific chromium-molybdenum composition, which is then heat-treated through quenching and tempering. This process achieves excellent tensile strength and remarkable resistance to creep and stress relaxation, especially in high-temperature environments. Essentially, these fasteners are designed not to stretch or soften under sustained loads and heat, maintaining their clamping force where ordinary steel would fail.
